Jacob Wilkinson

For as long as Jacob can remember, he has had a love for sport, performance,
health, and wellbeing. He has been a high-performing athlete from his teenage
years, and he has always been interested in physical performance and the abilities
of the human body. He suffered a number of physical injuries during training and
competing in both Rugby and athletics which was helped by the practice of
Osteopathy. These experiences inspired him to want to help others as he had been
helped, and he decided to move into a career as an Osteopath.

Jacob studied Osteopathy at Swansea University, graduating with a Master of
Osteopathy degree. He has developed a passion for treating all types of injury and
conditions and prides himself in providing an excellent level of care to all who come
to him. From strains and sprains to progressive neurological conditions and M.E.,
Jacob is committed to help people heal, rehabilitate from injury and assisting them
on their path to realise and achieve their personal goals. He has developed a
particular interest in supporting patients with learning or physical disabilities, both in
the clinical and sporting setting.

He also has experience treating international athletes and those on Paralympic
programmes, and he is experienced in the management of rehabilitation in sports.
He has recently started working along side me as an Osteopath with the Academy of Briton Ferry
Football Club.

Jacob is a performance athlete, a UKA accredited athletics coach with 5 years’
experience, was the Captain of the Swansea University athletics team and was one
of the mental health and wellbeing officers for the University. He currently runs for
Swansea Harriers as well as managing the rehabilitation process for several of the
club’s members.
